How much do sessions cost?

Sessions are $155 per 50 minutes, due at the time of service.

Do you accept insurance?

I am a private pay provider and don’t accept insurance directly. I can provide you with a superbill, a detailed receipt you can submit to your insurance company for possible out-of-network reimbursement. Many plans offer more coverage for out-of-network mental health services than people expect, so it’s worth checking before you rule it out.

Do you offer a free consultation?

Yes, I offer a complimentary 15-minute phone consultation to discuss your needs, answer any questions about my approach, and determine if we’re a good fit to work together. No pressure, no obligation, just a chance to get a sense of how I work before committing to anything.

Who do you work with?

I work with teens (aged 13+), adults, and couples.

Do you offer virtual sessions?

Yes! I offer both in-person and telehealth sessions to accommodate your preferences and schedule. Virtual sessions provide the same quality of care with the added convenience of meeting from wherever you’re most comfortable.

How long are sessions?

Standard therapy sessions are 50 minutes long. This timeframe allows for meaningful therapeutic work while maintaining the structure and boundaries that support the process.

What should I expect in the first session?

The first session is a chance for us to get to know each other. We’ll talk through what brings you to therapy, your history, your current challenges, and what you hope to achieve. I’ll also explain how I work and answer any questions you have about the process. It’s a collaborative conversation to figure out how we can work together most effectively.

What makes your approach different?

I work primarily from a psychodynamic perspective, which means we go beyond just managing symptoms to explore the deeper patterns, unconscious beliefs, and relational dynamics that shape your life. This approach focuses on lasting transformation rather than quick fixes. I bring in CBT and EMDR when they’re useful, but the core of our work together is understanding yourself more deeply, integrating parts of yourself you’ve disowned, and creating meaningful change at the character level, not just feeling better temporarily, but experiencing life differently.

How long does therapy take?

The length of therapy varies depending on your individual needs, goals, and what you’re working through. Some clients find relief in a few months, while others engage in deeper, longer-term work. Psychodynamic therapy tends to focus on lasting character-level change rather than quick symptom relief, which often means a longer but more transformative process. We’ll discuss your goals together and check in regularly about your progress.

Is what I say in therapy confidential?

Yes, confidentiality is a cornerstone of therapy. What you share in our sessions is protected by law and professional ethics. There are only a few specific exceptions where I’m legally required to break confidentiality, and I’ll walk through those with you in detail during our first session.

What if I’m not sure therapy is right for me?

That’s completely normal. Therapy is a real commitment, and it makes sense to want to feel confident in your decision. That’s exactly what the free 15-minute consultation is for: a chance to ask questions, get a sense of my approach, and figure out if it feels like a good fit. There’s no pressure, and it’s perfectly okay to take time to think it over.

What is your cancellation policy?

I require 24 hours’ notice for cancellations or rescheduling. Cancellations with less notice, or missed appointments without notification, are charged the full session fee of $155. This isn’t about penalizing you. It’s what lets me keep that time open for other clients who may be waiting for it.

How do I get started?

Simply reach out through the contact page or send me an email to schedule your free 15-minute consultation. We’ll find a time that works for you, talk through your needs, and if we both feel it’s a good fit, we’ll schedule your first session.
